After locating and identifying the wreck of M/T Lux, we wanted to see the ship for ourselves. Resting at around 90 metres in the Oslofjord, Lux is a challenging technical dive. On our first dive, the main objective was to reach the wreck and establish a permanent line to the bow, providing a fixed route for future dives. Since then, we have returned several times to explore and document the wreck in more detail. Built in Copenhagen in 1859 as the Danish naval gunboat Schrødersee, the ship had already lived a remarkable life before becoming the Norwegian oil tanker Lux. In October 1927, she caught fire while loading petroleum products at Steilene and sank in the Oslofjord. In this second film about Lux, we follow the first dives on the wreck and take a closer look at what remains of the 167-year-old vessel today. Using underwater video from several dives, we explore the wreck from bow to stern and get a very different perspective from the sonar and ROV footage that first helped us locate and identify her. The underwater material is captured by Willy Sanftleben, Thomas Solberg, Tor Erik Mikalsen and Morten Dyrstad. In October 1927, the tanker M/T Lux caught fire while loading petroleum products at Steilene in the Oslofjord. With 80.000 litres of fuel on board, the burning vessel was towed away from the islands before eventually disappearing beneath the surface. Lux had already lived a remarkable life. Originally built in Copenhagen as the Danish naval gunboat Schrødersee, she later became a survey vessel before being converted for civilian use and eventually serving as an oil tanker in Norway. For almost a century, the wreck remained hidden in the depths of the Oslofjord. In this film, Nordic Wreck Alliance follows the story of Lux from her origins in the Danish Navy to the dramatic events of 1927 – and our work to locate, investigate and identify the wreck 99 years later. Using historical records, contemporary newspaper reports, sonar, ROV footage and technical diving, we connect the wreck on the seabed with the ship whose final hours were documented almost a century ago. Join us on a unique expedition into the deep waters of the Skagerrak, where we target one of the world's most mysterious sharks – the Greenland shark. Fishing at 600 meters (2,000 feet) requires specialized tackle, patience, and teamwork. Together with marine researcher Esben Moland Olsen, our goal is not only to catch these remarkable animals, but also to tag them with acoustic transmitters before safely releasing them back into the depths. In this documentary you'll follow the entire process: - Fishing for Greenland sharks at extreme depths - Landing and handling these massive animals - Scientific tagging for marine research - Safe catch, tag and release - Stunning underwater footage from 600 meters This project contributes to ongoing research aimed at improving our understanding of Greenland shark movements and behavior in the Skagerrak. If you enjoy deep-sea fishing, marine wildlife, underwater exploration and real-world ocean adventures, you're in the right place. 🎣 Catch • Tag • Release 📍 Location: Skagerrak, Norway If you enjoy this type of content, please consider subscribing for more videos about: Deep sea fishing Underwater exploration Shipwreck discoveries ROV expeditions Marine technology Ocean documentaries #GreenlandShark #DeepSeaFishing #CatchAndRelease #MarineResearch #Skagerrak #OceanDocumentary #TeamKrokodille

A forgotten cement barge. A nameplate reading H8. A story that disappeared beneath the surface nearly 70 years ago. In the spring of 2026, we set out to investigate a little-known wreck in the Drammensfjord, Norway. What began as another sonar target soon revealed itself to be something much more significant. Using technical diving, underwater scooters and historical research, we document the wreck known as H8 – a cement barge that sank in the winter of 1957 while transporting cement to the Siporex factory at Gullaug. This is not just another wreck dive. It is the story of an ordinary working vessel that became part of Norway's industrial history, preserved almost exactly as it was left on the seabed. Join us as we explore the wreck, uncover its history, and piece together the events that led to its final voyage. Featuring: • Technical wreck diving • Historical research • Underwater cinematography • Maritime history • Drammensfjord, Norway About Nordic Wreck Alliance Nordic Wreck Alliance is a collaboration between technical divers, historians, ROV operators and marine technology specialists dedicated to documenting and preserving Nordic maritime history beneath the surface. Every wreck has a story. Our mission is to find it.

In this episode we take a closer look at at mystery wreck we discovered outside Jeløya while searching for M/S Combi last winter. The ROV-footage shows a wreck that looks very old, and carrying a cargo of special hollow bricks. Morten talks about what to look for when dating wrecks, and we break down what we know about the wreck site.

The time has come to reveal what we found down at the bottom of the Oslofjord! A wreck that has been lost for 55 years have now been found. An amazing wreck with a unusual cargo. Dive down with us and see what we found!

This time we are searching for a ship that sank in the Oslofjord in 1971. This ship carried several large construction machines on deck and had a dramatic sinking were the crew just barely managed to get in the lifeboat before it sank. The ship has been searced for by divers many times, but not been found. After being lost for 55 years, now it's time to solve the mystery!

During a sonar search in a part of the Oslofjord we stumbled across this strange wreck lying at 98 meters depth east of Tofteholmen. It looks like a strange mix of a old wooden boat, but with some really strange metal constructions on it. We would really like to hear your thoughts about what it might be!
